New park to open at Arlington Bridge Park, in addition to Discovery Park
The Arlington Park Conservancy is opening two new parks at Brooklyn Bridge Park in Arlington and Arlington County Park.
The parks will be open to the public from April 1 through October 31, 2017, according to the Arlington County Parks and Recreation Department.
The Arlington Park Park Conservancies announcement also announced the opening of two other parks in Texas.
In addition to the Brooklyn Park in Dallas, the parks will open for public use on the third Saturday of each month from May to October.
The Brooklyn River Trail is located in the Park at Brooklin, a park near the Arlington River and Lake Travis.
The park is open for all summer with activities including water sports, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, picnickers, and more.
The Park at Oak Creek in Arlington will open on July 17 and the Park in Fort Worth will open from July 20 to September 1.
The Oak Creek Park Conservaries website said the Arlington Park is a natural, open and family-oriented park offering a variety of activities including camping, fishing and bird watching.
Park at Arlington is the third new park opening for Arlington County parks, and the first in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The Arlington County park has more than 1,400 acres of parkland, including a hiking trail, picnic area, water park, playground, river, and wildlife habitat.
