Park bo Young to join Samsung in South Korea
Park Bo Young will join Samsung Electronics on January 31 in South Korean telecom network provider Samsung Electronics.
The 24-year-old South Korean software engineer is the first South Korean to join the world’s largest mobile operator, which is also known as Samsung.
Park Bo will join South Korea’s largest network operator, Samsung Group, and will work with a team that includes senior leaders from Samsung Electronics and its smartphone business.
Park will take up the role of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Samsung Group.
Park Bo will be joining Samsung after working for Samsung Electronics since February 2013.
He is a native of Seoul and graduated from the Seoul National University with a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering in 2014.
He joined Samsung as an intern in May 2017 and has since held numerous positions including Vice President, Vice President of Mobile Communications and Vice President Communications of Samsung Electronics Group.

Park Bo, who was born in Seoul in 1986, joined Samsung Electronics in October 2013 after graduating from Seoul National Univeristy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering.
He served as a Software Engineering Intern from December 2017 to January 2019.
Park joined Samsung in March 2018 and has held various executive positions including Senior Vice President Engineering and General Manager of Mobile Business, Senior Vice Presidents and Senior Executives, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
He also has been appointed Vice President General Manager for Electronics Electronics Electronics and Mobile Electronics.
Park and his family are from Seoul, and he has a sister who is a senior manager at Samsung Electronics Electronics.
