What is the Memorial Park?
This year, the Memorial park will be a destination for people of all ages to take in the majestic view of the San Diego Bay from the top of the bluff overlooking the city.
The park will feature a 3.2 mile loop that will include trails for bicyclists, hikers, and equestrians.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy an array of special events at the park including the annual Memorial Day Parade, the annual San Diego Zoo and Aquarium, and the annual Children’s Day parade.
The park’s namesake, Captain Harriman, is the first U.S. Navy admiral to be buried at San Diego’s Memorial park.
The park will also feature the National Aquarium of San Diego, which was built by the United States government.
The Aquarium is known for its iconic aquariums and is a national treasure for the city of San Francisco.
In 2016, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will open a new, $1.4 million playground for children, a new youth activities center, and an adult recreation center.
The playground and center will feature an interactive playground and a game hall for families and children.
Also in 2016, San Diego is expected to get a $1 billion investment to make the city more bike-friendly and accessible for its residents.
